Oasis
BellyDance OasisTM is an event held at the legendary Ashkenaz in Berkeley, Ca.  This event was put together to give belly
dancers more space and opportunity to dance and perform.  It's a place to socialize and network with other Bay Area
dancers.  A chance to see and show off how beautiful and unique all of the different belly dance styles are.

There will be a free belly dance lesson, followed by a fabulous showcase featuring local Bay Area dancers and troupes.  It will
conclude with a unique open dance segment where pro and novice dancers alike can use the dance floor freely to dance
amongst new and old friends.  Your favorite belly dance tunes will be provided.  Feel free to bring a cd if there's something
you wanna hear!

There will be a bar selling beer, wine, coffee, and other snacks.  Vendors will be selling unique and affordable items, including
jewelry, belly dance attire, henna tattoos, tarot readings and more.  Plus they will be donating prizes for our BDO Raffle!

A percentage of proceeds from the show, and all raffle sales, will be donated to the
California Youth Mentor Foundation, a
foundation dedicated to creating a united voice for youth mentor programs throughout California.

You are cordially invited to come dance the night away and help make the 1st BellyDance Oasis a night to remember!  This is
an open, non-judgemental event, so please leave any bad vibes at the door.  Belly dance wear encouraged!  Hip scarves
and other accessories will be available for sale.
